New head at PlasticsEurope

The new president of PlasticsEurope is Jacques van Rijckevorsel, a member of the executive committee of Solvay. He succeeds John Taylor of Borealis.

Günter Hilken (Bayer MaterialScience), Martin Pugh (Ineos Nova) and Anton de Vries (LyondellBasell) have been elected vice-presidents.

PlasticsEurope is the Europe-wide trade association for polymer manufacturers and has centres in Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan and Paris.

It has more than 100 member companies, producing more than 90 per cent of all polymers across the EU27 member states plus Norway, Switzerland, Croatia and Turkey.
