AWS first export contract for recycled PET from Hemswell

The first major contract supporting the £14 million investment in AWS Eco Plastics' (AWS) bottle reprocessing plant in Lincolnshire has been signed with Artenius PET Packing Europe (APPE), a subsidiary of Spanish PET producer La Seda De Barcelona.

AWS is to provide APPE with a minimum of 13,000 tonnes annually of recycled plastic pellet for the production of bottles for carbonated beverages.
