The PETrecycling.cz assessment based on R&D up-to-day results is, that it should be made clear, that all beverage containers, e.g. PET bottles, ALU cans and glass bottles, that are commercially imported into Czech Republic or sold here should be included in return systems with deposits - to encourage the consumers to take the bottles back

Recovery of packaging waste comprises:

processing used packaging for raw material for new products, or
the use of packaging as energy

Recovery of packaging does not comprise:

delivery of packaging to communal waste collection or sorting centres. Merely sorting is not recovery. Packaging waste must be utilised as new raw material or as energy. Only then is it recovered.
