PETnology Europe conference informs about innovations in the food and drink industry. With PET ahead: versatile, sustainable and flexible

The topics presented and discussed at the 14th PETnology Europe conference on the 7th and 8th November in Nuremberg will be just as versatile as the packaging applications themselves. PET remains the packaging material of the future, even though the requirements of the food and drink industry on the material itself and on the bottles and packaging produced from it are steadily rising. Sustainability has become the talk of the industry. This is why many companies along the value-added chain have been looking into recycled PET and its possible applications. Even though it has already been proven that recycled PET is a favourable packaging raw material in terms of processing characteristics, purity and efficiency, there are still a lot of unanswered questions.

To help answer these, several presentations and the accompanying technical exhibition will address and explain the topic.

Other key issues covered at the PETnology Europe conference are: PET for wine and beer, new options for aseptic safety and barrier technology, as well as further developments in blow moulding technology and lightweighting.

Some rather scientific presentations will cover the subject of diffusion models in order to predict migration and permeation, as well as effective cleaning in the recycling process.

Last but not least the industry will demonstrate its creative talent by presenting multicomponent preforms and Roll N Blow thermoforming. Another interesting topic is the active approach to noise protection: How can we help reduce noise in storage silos?

Our team will once again create the ideal setting for this technological exchange at the modern Congress Center Nuremberg
(CCN East) where also last year’s PETnology Europe event took place. On the evening of the 6th November we invite all conference participants to join us for a welcome reception at the nearby NOVOTEL NÜRNBERG AM MESSEZENTRUM.
