Phoenix Partners with RecycleBank

The PETrecycling.cz assessment based on R&D up-to-day results is, that it should be made clear, that all beverage containers, e.g. PET bottles, ALU cans and glass bottles, that are commercially imported into Czech Republic or sold here should be included in return systems with deposits - to encourage the consumers to take the bottles back

The City of Phoenix announced has signed a contract to partner with RecycleBank. The program is expected to complement Mayor Phil Gordon's 17 Point Green Phoenix Plan.

Phoenix is the second city in Arizona to contract with RecycleBank. Mesa signed on to the program earlier.

The program will begin with 110,000 households in southwest Phoenix for Phase 1 of the RecycleBank rewards program, which is set to begin on Nov. 30.

Success in Phase 1 of the program would lead to a full city wide roll out to the remaining Phoenix households.

"RecycleBank continues to demonstrate that when financial incentives are aligned, people will make the better environmental choice," said Ron Gonen, CEO of RecycleBank. "We look forward to working with Mayor Gordon and the City Council, the local business community, local community and environmental organizations and households to achieve Phoenix's environmental goals.

Currently, RecycleBank services more than one million people across 20 states and also provides service in the United Kingdom.
