PET bottles to be processed in Novokuibyshevsk

For almost two years Polyflex Ltd. was constructing plastic bottles recycling plant in Novokuibyshevsk.

The problem of bottle recycling is rather urgent as, according to statistic data, PET bottles make up 15% in the whole volume of domestic wastes, and their natural decomposition takes more than two hundred years.

Plant capacity reaches 250 tons per month. The enterprise receives raw materials mainly from Tatarstan and other regions. It has a contract with Novokuibyshevsk company Chisty Gorod that supplies Polyflex with up to 20 tons of PET bottles per month from 14 Novokuibyshevsk experiments sites.

Although bottles are not delivered in pressed form as capacity of existing press is not sufficient for that so far. But the problem will be solved in future.

At Polyflex enterprise received raw materials are sorted out, washed and cleaned from paper labels and released from corks, crushed and packed to be delivered to Gusevskoy Khrustalny zavod™ - Gus-Khrustalny. The substance is flex that is actually plastic flakes.

Already by the end of this year Russia’s largest manufacture of synthetic fiber will be launched in Gus-Khrustalny, PET flakes will become basic raw material for this production.
