05.10.2005 Modrice by Brno - Operation of a new joint venture PETKA CZ owned by the Dutch company Van Gansewinkel and company of Brno Brnometal was inaugurated on Wednesday October 5th after successful testing operation. PETKA CZ will be recycling used and collected PET bottles.

The annual capacity of the plant exceeds 3,500 tones of PET bottles. The production equipment was supplied by AMUT S.p.A. from Italy.

The experience gained at PETKA CZ and Van Gansewinkel by the operation of the line in Czech Republic will be utilized in the Netherlands, where the system of returnable PET bottles does no longer satisfy the requirements of the European Union. 

During the planned implementation of the single-use PET bottles in the Netherlands Van Gansewinkel will be able to react quickly and use the knowledge from the Czech Republic.
