First Beverages Middle East Congress (BevME) will be held at the Madinat Jumeirah resort in Dubai from 22 to 24 January 2008.

Speaker from Juhayna Group in Egypt.  Other speakers include Masafi, Lacnor, Dubai Refreshment Company, Aujan Industries, Nestlé Waters, Power Horse and Mecca ColaGéant Hypermarket, Saatchi & Saatchi, BPG, the Emirates Environmental Group and csrnetwork will also be on the platform.

Coach leaves hotel for Northern Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, where 250,000 square metre Masafi natural mineral water plant sits in foothills of Masafi mountains.
Tour covers manufacture of PET preforms and caps, 3 blow moulding lines, 2 PET filling lines at 34,000 and 40,000 bottles per hour, 1 cup filling line, 1 four gallon line, 1 juice and flavoured water hot fill line, warehousing, laboratory and separate unit making facial tissues.
Visit will also include briefing and refreshments. A packed lunch will be provided.
Masafi started production in 1977, was first in Gulf region into PET in 1998, first into sports caps in 2000, first into kids’ packs in 2003 as well as first to gain ISO 9002, 9001:2000, 14001 and HACCP accreditations.

  Lacnor dairy/beverage plant tour

Coach leaves hotel for neighbouring Emirate of Sharjah, where Lacnor is located.
Established in 1979, plant covers 10,000 square metres and produces premium quality pure juices, nectars, dairy drinks and other milk products. Site supplies both UAE and export markets. Tour covers 9 long life filling lines, quality control and storage facilities.
Visit will also include brief presentation and refreshments giving delegates opportunity to sample Lacnor products.

Coach then continues northwards to Masafi for bottling plant tour as above.

Coach leaves for short journey westwards to new WILD Flavors Middle East production facility in  Jebel Ali Free Zone, opened in November 2007. Centre caters for markets of GCC, Levant, North Africa and Indian sub-continent.Tour of WILD product development division includes opportunity to taste new beverage concepts and visit state-of-art production plant.
