The group, Natural Hydration Council (NHC), will be formed within the British Soft Drinks Association (BSDA). Effective from 1 September, the aim of the coalition will be to educate the the public about bottle water in response to the recent media attacks on the industry. In the UK, a report was released last month by consumer group Which? criticising the industry for selling bottled water that is no different to tap water. Also, earlier in the year a BBC ran a Panorama documentary on the effects that the bottled water industry has on the environment. Danone Waters Marketing Director Patrick Kolatis, said: "The debate is getting so out of control and it is being particularly driven by media and the tap industry. We're really keen to provide that balanced view and give people that informed choice." Related links: External website(s):
