The PETrecycling.cz assessment based on R&D up-to-day results is, that it should be made clear, that all beverage containers, e.g. PET bottles, ALU cans and glass bottles, that are commercially imported into Czech Republic or sold here should be included in return systems with deposits - to encourage the consumers to take the bottles back

After nine continuous hours of returning empty deposit beverage containers through a TOMRA reverse vending machine, UKEN, a bi-annual cultural festival held in Bergen, Norway, set on March 1 a new world record for the largest deposit refund receipt amount: 12,016.50 Norwegian kroner.

 Volunteers working for the festival spent about a month collecting the empty beverage containers that were returned at the world record-setting event.

The festival donated the deposit refund amount to a rain forest protection project organized by the non-profit environmental organization Friends of the Earth Norway.
